Personal documentary about women in the legal profession. It was inspired by three women who figured prominently in the directors' background while she was growing up in Quebec City. Her great aunt, Clara Goodman, got a law degree in 1921 when women in Quebec were not allowed to take the bar exam. She never practiced . The tape explores the determination and creativity with which they have defined their lives. The directors' intention was to weave personal and documentary footage into a fabric which explores the internal mechanisms of our society.
