BIO
The music drives the work. It was composed first and then proposed to the videographer. It therefore informs the image. Its principle formal element is foregrounded, beginning with a very dense tutti, and then gradually subsiding. The video is made up of five short sections. Each section is triggered by the same type of sound (saxophone attack). The last section contains only one track. The video follows the same principle of progressive visual disappearance; born with a sound climax, it concludes with a minimalist sequence.
The idea of these disappearances refers to novel of Yoko Ogawa, “Secret Crystallization”. Music composed by Francis Dhomont.
