BIO : Thirza Cuthand
Thirza Jean Cuthand est de descendance Plains Cree et Scots, et habite actuellement à Toronto. Depuis 1995, elle réalise en film et vidéo des courts-métrages narratifs et expérimentaux sur la sexualité, la folie, la jeunesse, l’amour et la race.
Ses oeuvres ont été présentées dans des festivals à l'échelle internationale, incluant l'Oberhausen International Short Film Festival où elle a reçu une mention honorable pour Helpless Maiden Makes an ‘I’ Statement.

Thirza Jean Cuthand was born in Saskatchewan, Canada, and grew up in Saskatoon. Since 1995 she has been making short experimental narrative videos and films about sexuality, madness, youth, love, and race, which have screened in festivals internationally, including the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City, Mix Brasil Festival of Sexual Diversity in Sao Paolo, Imaginenative in Toronto, Frameline in San Francisco, and Oberhausen International Short Film Festival.
She completed her BFA in Film and Video at Emily Carr University of Art and Design. She has a Masters of Arts in Media Production from Ryerson University. She is of Plains Cree and Scots descent, and currently resides in Toronto.
