BIO : Somaye Farhan

Somaye Farhan est une artiste multidisciplinaire iranienne et canadienne, son travail se concentre principalement sur l'image en mouvement, les médias temporels, la performance et l'installation multimédia. Diplômée du programme Studio Arts de l'Université Concordia (Montréal, QC), son travail est ancré dans les thèmes de l'inégalité sociale et de genre, du féminisme, de la migration, de la mémoire et de l'identité. Elle a exposé ses œuvres à la Siddhartha Art Gallérie (Katmandou, Népal) et à La Centrale Galerie Powerhouse (Montréal, Québec), entre autres.

Somaye Farhan is an Iranian/ Canadian multidisciplinary artist. Her work is focused primarily on the moving image, time-based media, performance, and multimedia installation. A graduate of the Studio Arts program at Concordia University (Montreal, QC), her work is grounded in the subjects of social and gender inequality, feminism, migration, memory, and identity. She has exhibited her works at Siddhartha Art Gallery (Kathmandu, Nepal) and La Centrale Galerie Powerhouse (Montreal, Quebec), among other sites.
