BIO : Sloane Sherman
Sloane Sherman est une artiste multidisciplinaire et réalisatrice originaire de Victoria, Colombie-Britanique. Elle a complété son baccalauréat en production cinématographique à l'Université Concordia au printemps 2023. Son art et ses récits sont axés sur le coming-of-age féminin/passage à l’âge adulte des femmes, la santé mentale et les géographies personnelles. Ellevit présentement à Montréal.
Dans son premier court métrage, Ratgirl (2023), le personnage titulaire est l’alter ego de Sloane, créé à l’origine pour trouver de l’humour dans ses expériences d’harcèlement sexuel.
Sloane Sherman (she/her) is a multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker originally from Victoria, BC. She graduated from Concordia University with a BFA in Film Production in Spring 2023. Her art and storytelling center around female coming-of-age, mental health, and personal geographies. She is currently based in Montreal.
In her debut short film, Ratgirl (2023), the titular character serves as Sloane’s alter-ego, originally created as a way to find humour in her experiences with sexual harassment.
