BIO : Perry Bard
Since her move to New York in 1983, Perry Bard's work is fueled by observations of her immediate environment and their interpretations in a global context. The space between fact and fiction, the role of technology, the control of media, its proliferation in public space play out in installations and videos that she has presented internationally: at the New York Museum of Modern Art, P.S.1 Museum, Scanners Video Festival Lincoln Center, Reina Sofia Museum Madrid, Museum of Contemporary Art Zagreb and Bucharest, the Rotterdam Film Festival, in the Sao Paolo, Montreal and Cartagena Biennials.
Her video Out My Window Down the Alley Around the Corner and Up the Block (2014) was screened at MoMA, NY as part of Documentary Fortnight. The video is a single channel version of the projection which is part of a two channel installation with objects and floor drawing at Joyce Yahouda Gallery in Montreal through January 17, 2015.
