BIO : Maureen Smith
Maureen Smith is active in the Manitoba Action Committee on the Status of Women since the eighties. Smith worked with several communities.
The Manitoba Action Committee on the Status of Women was formed in 1971 by the women who had prepared a comprehensive brief for the Royal commission on the Status of Women in 1967. A voluntary, non-profit organisation working through political action, public education and personal growth to improve attitudes, raise issues and remove inequalities affecting women.
