BIO : Maryse Goudreau

Née en 1980, Maryse Goudreau est une artiste et une réalisatrice vivant à Escuminac en Gaspésie. Elle  travaille l’image, les fonds photographiques et l’art participatif en développant des archives thématiques qui offrent des regards croisés – tant sociologiques que politiques et anthropologiques.
Elle travaille entre autre sur le béluga depuis 2012.
En 2017, elle est la première récipiendaire du Prix Lynne-Cohen offert en partenariat avec le Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec. Ses plus récentes expositions ont eu lieu à : Dazibao (Montréal), Centre Bang (Saguenay), Centro de Arte Contemporáneo Wifredo Lam (Cuba) et au Musée des beaux-arts de Montréal.

Born in 1980, Maryse Goudreau lives in Escuminac on the Gaspé coast, Canada. Defined as an artist, independent scholar and filmmaker working across photography, archives, video and participatory art, she offers a sociological, political and anthropological point of view that brings viewers to think about the importance of social history. Since 2012 she has been working on a thematic archive on the beluga whale. Disseminated in North America, Mexico, Cuba & Europe, her work is also included in national collections such as: the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec.
