BIO : Johanne Chagnon
Artiste interdisciplinaire depuis plus d’une trentaine d’années, Johanne Chagnon a adopté une pratique artistique diversifiée (installation, photographie, vidéo, écriture, performance, art communautaire, artivisme). Récemment, elle se consacre à l’art vidéo. Ses réalisations ont récolté plusieurs nominations dans divers festivals. Elle fait partie du jury du Paris Film Awards et a écrit des articles pour le Silver Mask Live Festival (Los Angeles). Pendant 18 ans, elle fut coordonnatrice et rédactrice pour la revue ESSE. Depuis 2000, elle développe l’organisme Engrenage Noir qui soutient l’art communautaire. La monographie Naviguer malgré tout retrace sa pratique de 1986 à 2015. Elle publie aussi des livres (intégrant textes et photos) et conçoit des livres d’artiste.
