BIO : Jo-Anne Balcaen
Jo-Anne Balcaen est née au Manitoba en 1971. Elle obtient un baccalauréat en beaux-arts de l'Université du Manitoba en 1994 avant de s'installer à Montréal pour y compléter une maîtrise en beaux-arts à l'Université Concordia en 2000. Elle touche à plusieurs médiums incluant le son, la sculpture, les multiples, l’art imprimé et la vidéo. Son travail a été présenté au Canada, aux États-Unis et en Irlande, et comprend des expositions solos à Truck (Calgary), Ace Art (Winnipeg), Eyelevel Gallery (Halifax), Galerie Clark (Montréal), La Centrale (Montréal) et Galerie B-312 (Montréal). Plusieurs de ses projets ont été soutenus par le Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec et le Conseil des arts du Canada. Elle vit actuellement à Montréal.
