BIO : Frédérique Cournoyer Lessard

Ayant étudié à l’École Nationale de Cirque de Montréal ainsi qu'à l’Université Concordia en production cinématographique, iel est un·e artiste interdisciplinaire qui explore la dualité entre l’abstraction du mouvement physique et le réalisme des récits engagés, sur scène comme au cinéma.

Par le biais de différents films tels que PAS (court-métrage, fiction), Rue de la Victoire (long métrage, documentaire) ou Coconut (court-métrage, documentaire), iel a toujours cherché à affilier l'expression du corps avec les possibilités qu'offre la caméra afin de créer un langage à la fois tangible et poétique.
FINE suit cette ligne directrice en alliant danse et fiction afin d'aborder un sujet criant d'actualité.

Having studied at the National Circus School of Montreal and at Concordia University in film production, they are an interdisciplinary artist who explores the duality between the abstraction of physical movement and the realism of committed narratives, on stage as well as in cinema.
Through various films such as PAS (short film, fiction), Rue de la Victoire (feature film, documentary) or Coconut (short film, documentary), they have always sought to affiliate the expression of the body with the possibilities offered by the camera in order to create a language that is both tangible and poetic.
FINE follows this guideline by combining dance and fiction in order to address a topical issue.
