Outer Space looks at the parallels between tropes in science fiction, the fantasies of colonial expansion and current conditions of potential immigrants. What unites science fiction and the colonial-metropolitan imaginary is a charged conception of distance or ‘outer’ space and the aliens who come from there.
Outer Space is also a personal exploration into my own life as migrant, looking at the funny places where sci fi has turned up in my life.
