Michelle Smith Born and raised in Winnipeg, Michelle Smith has been a documentary producer and director for 10 years. Most recently she directed documentaries for the RDI-Radio-Canada series 109 (Canadian Association of Broadcasters’ Gold Ribbon 2006). Her films have been presented at numerous festivals and venues including the Vancouver International Film Festival, Hot Docs, RIDM (Montreal), the Winnipeg Cinematheque, and the cinema Excentris in Montreal. Now based in Montreal, she is currently co-directing Without Reservations as well as the Finding Our Talk series with Mushkeg Media and APTN. She is also developing a video training module with Métis youth in Winnipeg while pursuing her Masters in Media Studies at Concordia University.
