Claudie Lévesque

Claudie Lévesque obtained her B.A. in Film Production from Concordia University in 1991. For more than ten years, she has worked in film and video as an artist and cultural worker at artist run centres. From 1996 to 2000, she was the coordinator and administrative director for Les Films de l’Autre.

Since 2002, she has been the communications coordinator at Main Film. Her works have been presented in several festivals and special events. Her short film UN ARBRE À COLORIER (1994) was selected by Rendez-vous du cinéma québécois and Festival du cinéma québécois de Blois as well as being broadcast on TV5. In 1999, Lévesque directs N COMME NE PAS, part of the ABC project from Vidéographe which was presented at Clermont-Ferrand and Festival du nouveau cinéma. In 2004, MAGIE BLANCHE wins the Kodak Prize for best technique at the 2nd Festival Montréal Super 8.
