Phyllis Katrapani

Born in Montreal, Phyllis Katrapani studied at the Université du Québec à Montréal, the FAMU School of Cinema in Prague in the Czech Republic, where she directed her first film, Zatisi (Still Life, 1992) and the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema, Concordia University.

She founded the production company, Île Blanche, in 1995, and produced and directed Ithaka, a poetic medium-length fiction film. In 2002, she directed Home, an original feature film mixing both documentary and fiction genres.
