Petunia Alves Of brazilian origin, living and working in Montréal since 1983. Involved in the independent video scene, became codirector at GIV in 1990. Active in the women's movement she directs and codirects tapes on challenges facing women. Collaborations with artists Lyne Lapointe, Martha Fleming and Marik Boudreau on numerous projects. Her current works deal with memory.
