Chapter 1*

That’s when I saw them. They were disgusting creatures. Big and had lots of hair. Hyenas. And they were heading for our pack! They already wiped out half of our warriors. They were very quiet and very sneaky. Only I could see them, only I could save them since I was the ultimate warrior. I was very nervous, what if I failed and they destroyed me and my pack. But I had to try. I never let my pack of prairie dogs down before. I had beautiful children, and loving wife.

So, sneakily, I went down the sand on my stomach. No! I was going to fast! Just then I heard tons of screaming. My pack! Those hyenas are going to pay the price they deserve. I ran as quickly as possible and blew the horn of war. Then everything went silent.

The hyenas recognized the horn and ran far away. I sighed deeply. But wait, what about the screaming. Somebody must of gotten devoured by the hyenas! My Family! I ran straight to my hole in the sandy desert. Then everything went black.

Chapter 2*

When I came to my senses, my head was pounding! My wife was putting a cold cloth on my head, no wonder it hurt, and my children were around me, shaking me. ''What, what happened?'' I managed to stutter. ''I am so sorry honey.'' Cried my wife, Monica. ''Mom thought you were a hyena, so she hit you in the head with your hammer.'' Said my only and oldest son, Oasis. ''Are you all right, Daddy? '' Screamed my little girl, Sandy. ''But who got eaten this time?'' I asked in a shaky voice. ''Your old buddy from college, Henry.'' Monica said sadly. Then she went silent.

''I so sorry baby-cakes, I know he meant a lot to you.'' Darn, I thought, if only I was there quicker. Then I dashed out of the hole, ran to my favourite spot, the oasis. ''This is a sacred spot,'' I thought aloud, ''This is the spot where I thought of Oasis’s name. It is relaxing, like he is, and cool.''

Then the king, or leader, appeared out of no where. ''My lord, why do you come to a Unworthy soul like me!'' I said bowing. ''First of all get up, second I told you 100 times to call me Herb.'' He commanded. I did as he ordered. ''Sorry, Herb.'' I said quietly. ''Good, now that we all know who we are, Michel, I came to see you because you saved the whole pack from being eaten, including me.'' He added very quietly. ''But how did you know I was here?'' I asked, puzzled. ''Your son, Oasis, told me when I came to find you at your beautiful home.'' He said, pulling my son from behind his back. ''I remembered you talking about this place, where you thought of my name.'' Oasis said, beaming. ''This is wonderful place father''. ''I thought of this place because you are wonderful!'' I said. Oasis ran and gave me a huge hug that made me fall over! Then the king interrupted, ''OK, I also came here to give you a special mission, only you can handle.''

Chapter 3*

''No way, I can not do that, you must be crazy!'' I explained rather loud. ''Of course you can, I and everyone know you can do it, and don't you dare argue with me little man!'' He shouted at me. ''You have to run past Crocodile River, swing over Monkey Falls, dive into Dolphin Sea, and search until you find the ultimate ruby in Hyena’s cave and bring it back here and we can make the world peaceful!, please, do it for the pack.'' He pleaded.

''Fine, but I must learn how to swim, hold my breath for a long time, swing on vines and jump over crocodiles'' I asked. ''Done!'' He said to me.
