A handmade improvisation
on beat and rhythm shot at Parc Lafontaine in Montreal as part of a performance presented within the framework of États Nocturnes organised by Vidéographe to celebrate their 20th anniversary. Four women were asked to take part; two painters,a Shibori artist and DJ. They each ‘ did their thing’, improvising, mixing and sharing their art with passers by, while creating something new. The images were then cut, pasted, mixed and matched in the spirit of improvisation to a ‘disco-y’ track which underscores a sense of movement and celebration. |
