Acted by art students, Fiction Scene consists of one scene scripted from interviews with recent immigrants in Australia who share their personal views about loss, longing and their sense of identity. The text is displaced, from the migrants to the local students, who provide a voice. The scene is a reenactment of a discourse which has moved from margin (migrant) to center (young australian). Tension increases because there is increased incongruence between the content of the dialogue and the characters.
