"Tierra Sin Mal" is a documentary about the artistic and cultural
contributions made by the Guarani people to Jesuit missions
in the River Plate region during the time of the conquest,
from 1609 to 1768.
The film travels not only to archaeological sites in Argentina, Paraguay
and Brazil, but to the jungle where the Guaranís survive in small communities. The modern reality of The Guarani contrasts
sharply with their history of splendour, utopias, contradictions,
successes, and failures.
